De wereldwijde organisatie Sampe zet zich in voor de promotie van technische ‘excellence’ in materialen en in process engineering. In deze business zijn zo’n vijftien duizend ingenieurs, technologen en materiaalwetenschappers werkzaam.  Sampe Europe is een associatie van personen die zijn geïnteresseerd in het werkveld van materialen en process engineering voor alle soorten geavanceerde materialen voor alle markten. De belangrijkste zijn wel de vliegtuigbouw, de autofabrikanten en de energie- en offshore-industrie.  Het congres wordt georganiseerd in het Pullman Hotel Paris nabij de Eiffeltoren.
